Cambridge Filter Corporation Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) establishes this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) as set forth below regarding the handling of users’ personal information in connection with the services provided on this website (the “Services”).

Article 1 (Personal Information)

“Personal Information” means “personal information” as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, and refers to information relating to a living individual that can identify a specific individual by descriptions such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other statements contained in such information, as well as data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and information that can identify a specific individual from such information alone, such as an insurer number on a health insurance card (personal identification information).

Article 2 (How We Collect Personal Information)

We may ask users to provide personal information such as their name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, driver’s license number, and similar information when they register to use our services. We may also collect transaction records and payment-related information that include users’ personal information from our business partners (including information providers, advertisers, and ad distribution partners; hereinafter, “Business Partners”), such as records of transactions made between users and those Business Partners.

Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:

* To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other information related to the services the user is using, as well as information about other services provided by the Company

* To identify users who violate the Terms of Use or who attempt to use the services for fraudulent or improper purposes, and to deny their use of the services
* To enable users to view, update, or delete their registered information and to view their usage status
* To carry out purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

1. The Company will not provide Personal Information to any third party without obtaining the user’s prior consent, except in the cases listed below and except where permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other applicable laws and regulations:
* When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
* When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
* When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government organization, a local government, or a party entrusted by either to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual’s consent may impede the performance of such duties
* When the Company has notified or publicly announced the following matters in advance and has filed a notification with the Personal Information Protection Commission:
* That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties
* The items of data to be provided to third parties
* The means or methods of provision to third parties
* That provision of Personal Information to third parties will be discontinued upon the individual’s request
* The method for accepting such requests

2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the recipient of the information shall not be deemed a third party in any of the following cases:
* When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of Personal Information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
* When Personal Information is provided in connection with the succession of business due to a merger or other reasons
* When Personal Information is jointly used with a specific party, and the Company has notified the individual in advance or has made readily accessible to the individual the fact of such joint use, the items of Personal Information to be jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purposes of use by the joint users, and the name of the party responsible for managing the Personal Information (or, if a corporation, its name)

Article 5 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

Users may request that the Company correct, add to, or delete (collectively, “Correction, etc.”) their Personal Information held by the Company if such Personal Information is inaccurate, in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company.
If the Company determines, upon receiving the request described in the preceding paragraph, that it is necessary to comply with the request, the Company shall, without delay, make the requested Correction, etc. to the relevant Personal Information.
If the Company makes a Correction, etc. pursuant to the preceding paragraph, or decides not to make such Correction, etc., the Company shall notify the user of such decision without delay.
